1st Annual Hydro-Holiday Practical Field Course
Field Experience (Hydrogeology, Pumping Tests, Field Chemistry). The week prior to The 2015 IAH Congress, the University of Strathclyde is pleased to offer a pre-Conference Hydro-Holiday that will provide field-based understanding of groundwater resources in the Dumfries Basin, from conceptual field study to practical evaluation of aquifer properties.
A registration fee will include transport to / from Glasgow City Center to Dumfries the morning of the 6th September returning to Glasgow 11th September. Registration also includes hotel (Bed and Breakfast for 5 nights), field trip information pack, lectures by Strathclyde and Scottish Water Staff, Field Trips to sites of hydrogeological interest and groundwater abstraction sites, and 3 days of hands-on Evaluation of Aquifer Properties (including pumping tests and chemical analyses).
Places will be limited to 10 delegates to make sure each attendee has hands-on experience in the collection and interpretation of field Hydrogeological data.
