Field methods: Groundwater sampling and aquifer testing techniques
This intensive one-day course will provide participants with hands-on practical experience in designing and executing aquifer pumping tests, as well a selection of techniques used to purge bores and obtain groundwater samples for a range of routine and novel analyses. The field programme in Mabel Talbot Park in Jolimont Perth is supplemented by a 2 hour webinar covering theory. The course is led by Dr Glenn Harrington, Principal Hydrogeologist at Innovative Groundwater Solutions and Keith Brown, Superintendent Hydrogeology at Rio Tinto. Additional support is provided by groundwater specialists from the WA Department of Water and Rockwater Consultant Hydrogeologists.
