Practice of Multiple Point Statistic simulations
Aquifer heterogeneity modelling using MPS. Multiple Point Statistics is a recent technique that can be used to model heterogeneity of aquifers or reservoir based on analog data. As compared to previous methods, it is able to model more realistic heterogeneities. I can also be used to simulate time series displaying complex patterns with possible applications in climate change studies, or to simulate missing data. More information on the method and detailed schedule is available on the course web site.
