“I Know What Will Be Lost”: Ranchers Dispute Best Use Of Groundwater

In an area of cornfields and oil wells in Wyoming there is also a secret world where cattle have been raised since the late 1800s. Groundwater seeps up to form creeks, essential for growing grass for herds, but climate change has increased the likelihood of disputes over even small water sources. Proposals to drill deep wells could make this worse by potentially drying up the creeks.
