A study in England has found that “there is no consistent approach to planning, preparing, responding or recovering from groundwater flooding”. There is no nationally consistent system for reporting groundwater flooding and incidents may be under-reported. Gaps in knowledge, processes and data for managing groundwater flood risk are evident.
