IAH continues to support GRIPP, the ‘Groundwater Solutions Initiative for Policy and Practice’, which is now in its fourth year of existence. Several IAH commissions and networks together with GRIPP are confronting a range of challenges – these include IAH Commission on Transboundary Aquifers, the IAH Commission on Managed Aquifer Recharge and the IAH Commission on Groundwater and Climate Change.
GRIPP is currently bringing together evidence-based solutions for sustainable groundwater management and is documenting case studies from around the world. GRIPP with IAH and other partners continues to emphasise to decision makers the importance of groundwater in achieving the Sustainable Development Goal.
