Full Time (One year): 6 courses + Research Report A) CORE COURSES: GEOL7029: Hydrological Processes GEOL7022: Hydrogeochemistry GEOL7023: Environmental Isotopes GEOL7024: Physical Hydrogeology B) ELECTIVE COURSES: GEOL7027: Contaminant Hydrogeology GEOL7025: Hydrogeophysics GEOL7026: The Geochemical Toolbox for Hydrogeology GEOL7030: Water Resources Management GEOL7031: Applied Structural Geology C) GEOL 7028: Research Report (Full time) D) GEOL7051: Research Report Part I (Year 1) and GEOL7052: Research Report Part II (Year 2) (Part-time) Part-time (Two years): Year 1: Four courses + Research Report part I; Year 2: Two courses + Research Report part II Candidates will be required to discuss a research project topic with the Program Coordinator and are encouraged to link this to existing interests and their company needs. Each course is worth 15 points within the HEQSF framework and runs for 1 week (30 hours). Candidates are required to complete 90 points by course work and 90 points via the research project (Total 180 points). Requirement: Applicants for this program must have a Bachelor of Science with Honours degree in GEOLOGY (and Hydrogeology) or a relevant Postgraduate Diploma from an approved tertiary institution. Acceptance may be restricted to applicants with relevant undergraduate course credits and field experience.
