  Life of Mine – Maintaining Sustainability Through Geoscience Symposium

  Life of Mine – Maintaining Sustainability Through Geoscience. The technical sessions will be encouraging single discipline and multi-disciplinary mining geoscience research and case study contributions over up to 4 half days, within six basic mine site geoscience application themes (with 6 to 8 keynotes planned).
  · Mine engineering, operation, monitoring and expansion,
  · Environmental Concerns and permitting,
  · Regulatory Water and soil management,
  · Rehabilitation, re-purposing of historical mines (e.g., re-processing of mine wastes for critical minerals),
  · Closure and reclamation planning and implementation, and
  · Education Toward Future Mining Geoscience Practice.
  
  A fifth day is a planned Education Day for senior hugh school and 1st year college students encouarging consideration of a career in sustainable mining.
