The World Bank is currently undertaking a groundbreaking initiative to create the first benchmark addressing the lifespan of water boreholes, aimed at assisting asset managers and investors. The success of this benchmark relies heavily on comprehensive data collection from various geological and economic contexts worldwide.
In line with this, the World Bank has launched a crowdsourcing campaign to collect borehole histories and are asking for your borehole stories – when were they initially constructed, are they still maintaining the same yield, and if they’ve been abandoned, when did that happen? Your insights could significantly contribute to improving our understanding of borehole lifespan and enhancing water security for communities worldwide.
