Managed Aquifer Recharge: Unleashing Resiliency, Protecting Groundwater Quality
Managed aquifer recharge (MAR) is the purposeful recharge of water to aquifers for later recovery or other benefits.
MAR is an increasingly important tool for mitigating the economic, environmental, and public health impacts of water shortages. While practiced for decades, MAR is of growing interest to many communities.
This conference provides a forum for sharing technical, regulatory, and institutional lessons to develop successful recharge projects. It builds on NGWA’s first MAR conference in San Antonio in 2023.
Call for Abstracts: Papers and Posters Open through March 24, 2025.
Abstracts are solicited on broad aspects of managed aquifer recharge, particularly as they relate to resiliency, regulatory aspects, and managing groundwater quality, including those addressing:
Current science and practices of MAR
Water quality case studies
Managing for resiliency
Regulatory and institutional environment for MAR.Organised by NGWA.
