  Environmental Tracers and Isotopes. Groundwater systems are a vital resource for people and the environment, but their subsurface nature makes them difficult to characterize. Environmental tracers and isotopes are important tools to help us understand this hidden groundwater world. This micro-credential is suitable for professionals with postgraduate-level scientific literacy and numeracy skills who are interested in developing their understanding of environmental tracers and isotopes as tools for characterizing groundwater systems. Topics covered include an introduction to environmental tracers and stable isotopes in hydrogeology, as well as applied tracers, noble gasses, heat as a tracer, and groundwater age indicators.
