  IAH-RGFC Lecture Series

  Regional groundwater flow systems. The sixth lecture of the IAH-RGFC Lecture Series will take place on Thursday, June 18, 2026 at 4:30 PM (CEST). Our speakers will be Alessia Kachadourian Marras (Founder and director of U-Flows, Mexico) and Maribel Manzo Garrido (Hydrogeologist, U-Flows, Mexico). The title of their presentation is Regional Groundwater Flow Systems: Application in Sustainable Hotel Design.
  
  Join our lecture to learn how the application of Tóth’s regional groundwater flow system theory can support sustainable building design. Recognizing groundwater systems as a key environmental component of sustainability certification frameworks is essential. The lecture will demonstrate how a systemic understanding of regional groundwater flow can stimulate scientific research in tourism developments and how hydrogeological knowledge can be translated into practical design, construction, and operational decisions.
