  IAH Emilio Custodio Lecture: “Groundwater: Our Last Chance to Restore the Hydrological Cycle”

  Renowned hydrogeologist Jesús Carrera will deliver a lecture at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST), Saudi Arabia, as part of the Earth Systems Science and Engineering Seminar series.
  The lecture will explore the essential role of groundwater in sustaining the hydrological cycle and its resilience, the growing threats posed by overexploitation, climate change, and pollution, and the potential of Managed Aquifer Recharge (MAR) as a key strategy to restore ecosystem services and support sustainable water resources management.
