Hidrología Subterránea / Groundwater Hydrology. On-line learning postgraduate course, which aims to present, via Internet, the theoretical and practical bases of groundwater hydrology, so that they are directly applicable to the various real situations that can be presented, emphasizing the hydrogeological criterion on the simple application of rules . The course is oriented to the study of groundwater systems theory: exploration and exploitation, contamination processes and possible remediation, planning and management, as well as knowledge of the interrelationship with other phases of the hydrological cycle and with the environment.

Introduction to Groundwater Governance
UNESCO will be launching the first online course on groundwater governance on its openlearning platform on 11 December 2020. The Introduction to Groundwater Governance course is a self paced online course that shall run from 11 December 2020 to 28 February 2021. The course will be delivered by renowned experts in water governance and national and international water law.
In this self-paced online course, the participant will be introduced to the concepts and guiding principles and processes for effective groundwater governance as well as their application to improve groundwater governance at national and transboundary level. The course will also illustrate on the international water law, comprised of “customary” principles and of treaties, agreements and conventions, with a particular focus on transboundary aquifers as well as the multiple interactions between domestic water laws and international water law.The course is comprised of 3 modules with a duration of 4 hours each, which include video lectures, discussions, case studies, and assignments. To join the course interested individuals can visit the UNESCO openlearning platfrom and register for the course.
This online learning course on Groundwater Governance is part of the Governance of Groundwater Resources in Transboundary Aquifers (GGRETA) project Phase 3, funded by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) whose objective is to strengthen regional stability, cooperation and peace through the establishment of cooperative frameworks for transboundary groundwater governance in River Basin Organizations (RBOs), Regional Commissions (RCs) and selected aquifers systems in Africa.https://openlearning.unesco.org/courses/course-v1:GGRETA+GGRETA01+2020_01/about
