Geoscience is currently facing a labour market problem, as many are retiring or just entering the field. This session will cover how to integrate new professionals, retain and reengage existing professionals and mentor them to fast-track upskilling.
• APRIL 23 - Bridging Realms: Artificial Intelligence in Professional Geoscience
How will AI affect professional geoscience? This session offers an insightful intro into AI before delving deeper into practical applications throughout the field and how it will affect the future of the profession.
• APRIL 25 - Practice, Pitfalls, and Protections - Some Social and Legal Aspects of Geoscience Practice
To protect their own interests, professional geoscientists should be aware that the public will rely on the professional's opinion and that reliance brings legal obligation, legal liability, and public-interest responsibility with it.
